Jetrion Expands Line Of 3000 Series Inkjet Printing Systems
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO, IL, October 11, 2004 — Jetrion LLC, a leading global provider of advanced products, services and specialized solutions for industrial inkjet applications, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flint Ink, has expanded the Jetrion 3000 Inkjet System Series with the introduction of two new inkjet printing systems that provide customers with a wider choice of price points and higher performance levels for virtually any inkjet application in any market.
The new Jetrion 3010 and Jetrion 3005 Inkjet Systems have been introduced to give Jetrion customers the options of selecting piezo or thermal technology and UV, solvent or water-based inks as solutions for their inkjet printing operations.
Earlier this year, Jetrion launched the 3000 Inkjet System Series with the introduction of the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System. The Jetrion 3025’s breakthrough drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printing technology has set a new industry performance standard as the highest-speed, widest, highest-quality DOD inkjet printing system in the marketplace.
All three inkjet printing system products in Jetrion's 3000 Series are available now for immediate installation. They are being demonstrated at Graph Expo 2004 in Jetrion's booth #836.
Pointing out that expansion of the Jetrion 3000 Inkjet System Series was a market-backed decision driven by input from key customers, Dr. Kenneth Stack, president of Jetrion, said, "In our 3000 Series of inkjet printing systems, Jetrion now has a product portfolio with different price value points that enables our customers to choose from the best available inkjet printing technology for their specific applications. Now, with the Jetrion 3010 and Jetrion 3005 joining our flagship Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System, we've significantly expanded Jetrion's ability to provide solutions at every level of price, speed and print quality that customers may require."
Jetrion 3010 Inkjet System
A DOD printer with a Spectra-based printhead, the low-cost Jetrion 3010 Inkjet System runs one-inch wide at up to 1,000 feet per minute (fpm), with a top resolution of 400 x 300 dpi, and is compatible both with Jetrion's high-performance UV and solvent inks. Well suited for applications in the mail addressing, packaging and specialty markets, the 3010 Inkjet System provides exceptional ease of use and reliability. It offers outstanding flexibility with its ability to print on a wide range of substrates – including paper, coated stock, foil and plastic cards – with significantly better resolution than any continuous inkjet printer.
The Jetrion 3010 Inkjet System uses the same powerful Graph-Tech MIC controller that drives the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System. The controller is compatible with all three Jetrion 3000 Series systems, and for maximum cost savings and production flexibility, it can be configured to simultaneously drive multiple Jetrion systems.
The Jetrion 3010 Inkjet System is a mid-range product with an aggressively competitive price point and outstanding production performance. Like the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System, the Jetrion 3010 has the lowest cost of ownership of any DOD inkjet system in the marketplace.
Jetrion 3005 Inkjet System
Offering the lowest price point in the Jetrion 3000 Series, the Jetrion 3005 Inkjet System is the company's first thermal inkjet (TIJ) system. Driven by the powerful Graph-Tech MIC controller, the Jetrion 3005 Inkjet System is taking TIJ technology into higher level performance markets such as bindery and finishing. The system provides the ultimate in simplicity and trouble-free ease of use for mailing applications. The Jetrion 3005 Inkjet System is engineered with a compact, modular base, and uses easy-to-replace water-based HP ink cartridges. It delivers image qualities as high as 600 dpi, and operates with a range of speeds up to 600 fpm at the lowest resolution. The Jetrion 3005 Inkjet System employs a 1.5-inch TIJ printhead which can be stitched for wider imaging applications. The system also includes an automated cleaning station integrated into the head.
Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System
The top-of-the-line flagship product of the 3000 Series, the remarkably advanced Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System offers the flexibility of speed, print resolution and the industry's most advanced ink technology to meet the demands of virtually every inkjet printing application.
Starting at 2.4 inches with one printhead, and designed to incorporate multiple printheads for wider applications, the monochrome Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System delivers 316 dpi across, and up to 526 dpi in the process direction. It runs at speeds up to 250 fpm with Jetrion’s industry-leading, fast-cure UV-curable inks and up to 400 fpm with the company’s solvent-based inks.
The Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System provides the lowest running cost of available DOD marking printheads. The system is particularly valuable for production applications that require higher-quality addressing, bar-coding, number and variable messaging on printed products. It is ideal for applications requiring durable images on high-gloss and film materials.
