EFI to Integrate Logistics Solutions from Manhattan Associates with Print MIS Offerings

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Oct. 12, 2004-- EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, has joined forces with Manhattan Associates, the global leader in supply chain execution (SCE) and optimization solutions. This partnership will provide EFI clients with a powerful logistics solution with real-time integration to their EFI Print MIS systems. EFI recognizes that many of its customers have added finished goods, fulfillment and warehousing to their service offerings, and is now partnering with Manhattan Associates to deliver an integrated logistics solution designed to optimize the management and profit potential of these value-added services. EFI will initially offer Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management for Windows solution and plans to integrate WM for Windows with EFI Hagen, Logic and PSI print management systems in the near future. This integrated environment will include components for every phase of warehouse management, including radio frequency inventory management, fulfillment, and out-going freight management with rate shopping and direct reporting to job costing and invoicing. System options will also include RFID capabilities for product and package identification. Once integrated with EFI's MIS solutions, job information will seamlessly transfer to the Manhattan Associates warehouse tools, which will then handle the picking, shipping and freight management functions. The integrated logistics picture can also include a client desktop for ordering and management of their finished goods inventories utilizing EFI PrinterSite Fulfillment. "As part of our strategy to offer a connected end-to-end workflow for printers, EFI has teamed with the best supply chain management company to deliver services that will help our customers streamline their operations in ways that increase fill rates, improve the bottom line and decrease overall logistics costs," said Marc Olin, VP/GM of Commercial Print Systems at EFI. "We look forward to a long relationship with Manhattan Associates, and are confident our customers will derive tremendous value from the collaboration." "Manhattan Associates has worked with hundreds of companies around the world and we have leveraged that experience and the industry requirements of the market in our market leading solutions," said Bobby Collins, VP of Mid Market at Manhattan Associates. "Working with EFI and its customers, we have the opportunity to build even stronger integrated solutions together to address the printing industry. The value we can provide to EFI customers is much greater when these tools are integrated."
