Frank Romano Joins InfoTrends/CAP Ventures

Press release from the issuing company

(Weymouth, MA) October 11, 2004-- InfoTrends/CAP Ventures announces that Frank Romano will join the leading market research and consulting firm to head up a new strategic service designed specifically to address the needs of commercial printers. The service, which is called the Commercial Printing Strategies Service, will assist commercial printers in developing their businesses to better compete and thrive in the 21st century. As the industry continues to transform from a manufacturing-based model to a service-based business model, many new growth opportunities are emerging. Nevertheless, little information is available today to assist commercial printers in understanding and implementing these new opportunities so they can benefit from the business transformation that is underway. As Director and Lead Strategist for the service, Mr. Romano will keep commercial printers informed on fast changing digital technology and also help them understand key factors for success by providing a stream of published information and personalized advice. “We are honored to have an industry icon like Frank joining our team,” commented Charles Pesko, Managing Director for InfoTrends/CAP Ventures. “Frank will bring a world of experience, knowledge, and valuable advice to our clients.” Frank Romano's career has spanned over 40 years in the printing and publishing industries. He is one of the most recognized consultants and educators in the graphic arts industry. Mr. Romano is the author of 40 books, Editor of the International Paper Pocket Pal, a contributor to major encyclopedias and dictionaries, and the author of numerous articles. He has founded eight publications, serving as a Publisher, an Editor, or both. Mr. Romano lectures extensively throughout the United States and Canada and has consulted for major corporations, publishers, government entities, and other users of digital publishing technology. “I am delighted to join InfoTrends/CAP Ventures,” commented Frank Romano. “This is a highly respected organization in our industry that brings valuable research to commercial printers. The depth and breath of their research and information base is not duplicated in the industry. In my role, I will help printers interpret this information and develop viable growth strategies for their businesses.” In his new role, Mr. Romano will work closely with the existing services and consulting practices at InfoTrends/CAP Ventures. Group Director Charlie Corr states, “Frank will be able to leverage our extensive market research and knowledge to benefit a broader base of print providers. His efforts will complement our existing efforts to provide the Graphic Arts Industry with strategy and market research to enable the transformation of the industry.”
