ENCAD NOVAJET 1000i Printer Ignites Client Praise

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, October 10 — Encad, Inc., a part of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, will be showcasing its latest award-winning printer, the ENCAD NOVAJET 1000i Printer at the Graph Expo trade show in Chicago in the Kodak booth #1697.    The ENCAD NOVAJET 1000i Printer utilizes the innovative Rapid Evaporation Drying System and unique Intelligent Mask Technology to achieve print speeds up to 220 square feet per hour in high speed mode. Clients including Freeman, the leading full-service contractor in the U.S. for expositions, conventions, corporate and special events, and exhibit programs, have utilized the NOVAJET 1000i for a wide variety of wide format applications including the printing of official Graph Expo signage. " Our decision to go with the NovaJet 1000i printer was based on its new technology, its speed and its quality,” said Joanie Hofstede, corporate graphics trainer with Freeman, “Encad is Freeman's one-step solution in wide-format printing, including our printer, media and ink supply,” Hofstede continued “With a roster of clients including Graph Expo, the National Republican Convention and McDonald’s World Tour, the tradeshow visuals must be perfect – Encad has allowed us to provide our customers with quality products.” Encad’s proprietary Intelligent Mask Technology incorporates an ink tiling method that lays down ink in a randomized pattern for each color and print mode, making it possible to achieve exceptional image quality at high speeds. The dual-component Rapid Evaporation Drying System improves drying efficiency for high speed printing on a wide variety of media, which allows for images to be spooled onto the take up reel at full machine speed and finishing operations such as lamination to be performed shortly thereafter. Developed and manufactured by Kodak for the NOVAJET 1000i Printer, ENCAD Quantum Pigment Ink uses more than 10 proprietary technologies to improve jetting reliability and increased color gamut without impacting durability.   Encad was honored by the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) with a 2004 InterTech Technology Award, the highest honor of innovation in the graphic arts industry.
