Chicago IL, US 10 October 2004: The ColorBurst RIP, based on Global Graphics (Euronext: GLOG) Jaws RIP technology, has been chosen by Epson America Inc. to bundle with the Epson Stylus Pro 4000 Professional Edition, Epson’s premier printing system for digital proofing, fine art and digital photography. The bundle – printer, RIP (for PC and Mac) and Epson Rendezvous Ethernet card - is being launched at Graph Expo. The launch underlines the increasing adoption of Global Graphics’ core technology components in digital printing applications. ColorBurst Systems (CSE, Inc.) has used the Jaws PostScript Language Level 3 and PDF 1.4 compatible Interpreter as the basis for the ColorBurst RIP for the past ten years. “We've been very pleased with the performance, reliability and the ‘under-the-hood’ controls of the Jaws Interpreter, says Larry Spevak, president of ColorBurst Systems.” “Its Device Class Interface gives us access to data elements to accurately perform complex color management, intercept PANTONE Colors, and intercept vector data that we use for contour cutting.” “The ColorBurst RIP that we provide to Epson is a Print Server to run from either a Mac OS X or Windows 2000/XP machine. The ColorBurst RIP for the EPSON Stylus Pro 4000 Professional Edition is locked to Epson medias. There is no means of adding additional Output ICC profiles, although, the user can edit ink curves and use their own Input ICC Profiles.
