RR Donnelley Again Confirms Confidence In Xeikon

Press release from the issuing company

Lier, Belgium, 8 October 2004 - Xeikon announces the sale of two new Xeikon 5000 digital colour presses to RR Donnelley, a leader in printing and communication services. Xeikon and RR Donnelley’s Moore Response Marketing –the Netherlands based subsidiary of RR Donnelley - have a history that goes back more than 10 years when Moore became one of the first Xeikon beta sites, even before the first full-colour digital press came on the market. Moore was also one of the beta sites for the Xeikon 5000. RR Donnelley already operates 7 Xeikon presses, 4 in the Netherlands and 3 in the USA. The 2 additional Xeikon 5000’s will be installed at their new plant in Hungary which will be operational in December of this year. “Our business relies on quick response-time, minimum delays and reliable service to meet our customer’s requirements and the large volumes we have to manage daily.” says Neil Keleher, Managing Director of RR Donnelley Hungary. ” In the first instance, the new Hungarian plant will produce large volumes of high-quality product manuals. Our Dutch colleagues have always been satisfied with the reliability, speed and not to forget quality of the Xeikon presses. They really tried to push the new Xeikon 5000 to its limits, and it has stood up to the test magnificently. Our new plant needs to be fully operational from day one so for us, the Xeikon 5000 was therefore the only obvious choice.” “Our relationship with Moore has always been one of fruitful mutual collaboration and knowledge exchange,” says Guido Dumarey, CEO of Punch International, “Only few companies manage to exploit the possibilities of digital printing technology to their fullest potential, like RR Donnelley does. We are happy and proud that when it comes to digital printing, they continue to chose for Xeikon.”
