Regensdorf, Switzerland and New Windsor, NY; October 8, 2004 – GretagMacbeth, a worldwide technology leader in color measurement and management solutions for creative, photo, prepress and pressroom markets, and Progressive Color Media, a Flint Ink company providing a full range of workflow color management solutions integrating hardware, software and services, announce a partnership to provide Progressive Color Media customers with GretagMacbeth color management solutions. Progressive Color Media has signed an agreement with GretagMacbeth to offer its color management products with their services. The company’s services will enable printers, graphic designers, publishers and brand owners to achieve fast and accurate color reproduction, increase efficiencies and improve brand integrity. Together with GretagMacbeth solutions, Progressive Color Media will now have the industry leading tools to accomplish this. Under this agreement, Progressive Color Media will include GMB solutions, such as the industry leading ProfileMaker 5, the award winning Eye-One solutions, iCColor, and the DensiEye 700, together with their services. “PCM is very excited about the partnership with GretagMacbeth,” states Diane Watt, President of Progressive Color Media. “During the past year, we have carefully studied the market and we feel that GMB gives us many “best in class” solutions for our customers. Moreover, many of GretagMacbeth’s color management solutions have become the de-facto industry standard and maintain an impressive installed base worldwide. In addition, GMB has been one of the significant leaders in setting the pace for new standards for color management technology, and we firmly believe that they will continue to stay at the forefront of providing innovative, state of the art and high quality solutions for the printing industry. We especially look forward to the new, trendsetting ProfileMaker 5 Packaging solution.” “This partnership incorporates a tremendous business opportunity as the pressroom market is at the edge of implementing color management into their production workflow, as stated in a recent GATF study. The same GATF study reports that more than 69% of the respondents are using GretagMacbeth ProfileMaker software and 95% of the respondents are using GretagMacbeth measurement devices. Building upon this strong base, the partnership with Progressive Color Media will allow us to continue to expand into the pressroom color management arena,” says Mark Geeves, VP Global Business Development Team at GretagMacbeth.
