Science Printers and Publishers, Inc. Selects Cadmus Rapid Review

Press release from the issuing company

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 6 -- Cadmus Communications Corporation today announced that Science Printers and Publishers, Inc. has implemented Rapid Review for its three medical journals: Journal of Reproductive Medicine, Acta Cytologica, and Analytical and Quantitative Cytology and Histology. Rapid Review is a web-based manuscript submission and tracking solution that enables publishers to manage their complete peer review process online -- reducing review processing times and lowering administrative overhead costs. Rapid Review will be used by Science Printers and Publishers to substantially automate the process of reviewing and preparing medical information for print and electronic distribution. "Rapid Review will generate substantial time savings and cost efficiencies for our publications," said Donna Kessel, President of Science Printers and Publishers, Inc. "We really liked what we saw in Rapid Review, one of the most robust solutions available for online peer review. With a centralized editorial staff and our editors and reviewers at different locations, Rapid Review will be very effective in providing real-time information to everyone involved in the review process." "Through ongoing discussions with our customers, including input from the Rapid Review User's Group meeting held earlier this year, we are continuing to enhance and improve Rapid Review with the release of Version 3.0 later this year," commented Hai Tran, Senior Vice-President of Technology and Strategic Development. "This upgrade will focus on making the author's electronic manuscript submission process a simpler user-friendly experience."
