Think Patented Garnered 34 Awards

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, OHIO, January 2008 - Kenneth O. McNerney, President and Chief Executive Officer of Think Patented, announced today that the company garnered 34 awards in the 2007 Print Excellence competition sponsored by the Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Northern Kentucky and Ohio (PIANKO). The company earned 13 Gold, 11 Silver, and 10 Bronze level awards across a broad range of categories from Corporate Communications and Softcover Books to Specialty Finishing and Art Reproduction. All winning entries will be on display at the Greater Cincinnati Printing Week Banquet to be held on January 26, 2008. Earlier this year, the company received a Gold eKG Customer Focus Award from NAPL, two national awards in the annual Premier Print competition sponsored by Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF), as well as a Mercury Award from the Greater Dayton Advertising Club as "Best Printer."
"This has been a banner year for Think Patented," said McNerney, citing major investments in  new equipment, software, services and personnel over the past 12 months. "We are honored and delighted to accept these awards because they bespeak the hard work, attention to quality and craftsmanship Think Patented brings to every job we complete. The independent recognition we have received underscores and redoubles our commitment to provide our customers with the very best in graphic communications services."
Each year, PIANKO holds its Print Excellence Awards Competition to reward Ohio and Northern Kentucky printers that demonstrate excellence in each of 33 categories. This year, member companies submitted 631 printed pieces that were ranked by a panel of out-of-state judges in a regional competition.
"The competition intensifies every year as the number of participants increases," said PIANKO President Jim Cunningham. "To be recognized by our judges as a Print Excellence Award winner means that the quality of the work is outstanding. Our members and the customers they represent should be incredibly pleased with their winning products or pieces." In fact, says Cunningham, "Our independent panel of experts agreed that the quality of this year's entries was some of the best they had ever seen."
Each of the Gold winners in the regional competition is entered in an association-wide competition for Best of Category and Best of Show prizes to be awarded in June 2008 at the Grand Ceremony in Columbus, Ohio.
