Bronson previously served with NAPL from 1985 to 1997 in a variety of positions, including director of marketing, director of communications and editorial director. Bronson's mission is to spearhead member communications and marketing programs to increase access to NAPL's business management services and help stimulate awareness and growth of the $120 billion graphic communications industry. "We are very happy to welcome Bronson back to NAPL," says Joseph P. Truncale, the association's president and chief executive officer. "She is esteemed for her high level of energy and expertise in reaching target audiences through a wide variety of marketing and media platforms. I know she will have an immediate impact on the success of our marketing efforts."
Bronson will head up a marketing team that also welcomes back former NAPL publisher Richard Papale, who now serves as the new director of strategic content. Papale will be responsible for providing content on the NAPL Web site and helping to improve industry access to all products and services using innovative avenues such as webinars, podcasts, digital downloads and the NAPL ListServ networking service.
Bronson and Papale join a veteran NAPL marketing team that includes Melanie Martin-Iuso, information central manager; Carol Rocke, marketing coordinator; and Joanne Sieskel-Oppenheim, marketing assistant.
"The new marketing team looks forward to an exciting year helping the association, network and industry grow," says Bronson. "The team's valued expertise in specific message channels such as e-mail, events and print will enable NAPL members to receive information in the ways they find most useful and effective."
Bronson comes to NAPL from the North Jersey Media Group, where for 10 years she was director of marketing in one of the most competitive media markets in the country. The company publishes two major daily newspapers as well as 47 weeklies and specialty publications in northern New Jersey. She was responsible for branding, advertising, public relations, media planning, e-mail marketing, special events and community service programs for the daily division. She also supported the company's news Web site, NorthJersey.com, and its commercial printing division.
Prior to her first tour of duty with NAPL, Bronson worked as senior editor for Thomas J. Lipton Inc., a Unilever company, and as a consulting and planning associate for the Urban Health Institute in New Jersey.
