Thursday, September 30, 2004

Press release from the issuing company

September 29, 2004 -- Twinsburg, OH and Jerusalem, Israel -- xpedx, a leading national distributor of printing and graphic imaging prepress equipment and supplies, and HumanEyes Technologies, a leading innovator and provider of advanced 3D lenticular solutions; today announce a strategic alliance wherein xpedx will be the exclusive paper merchant agent of HumanEyes’ 3D solutions in the U.S. HumanEyes, which has already attracted top echelon partners such as KBA, HP and Sharp; sees the alliance with the International Paper distribution division as another telling indicator of its potential in the global marketplace. “We’ve built the HumanEyes technology, as well as the corporate infrastructure, to play powerfully in the most demanding and sophisticated corporate environments,” says Daniel “Dani” Herzka, Vice President and General Manager, North America, for HumanEyes. “xpedx is one of the few organizations with the reach, knowledge and experience to bring a major technology like this to the marketplace.” For xpedx, the alliance means it can bring a technologically differentiated and powerful product to many of its customers, from designers and photographers to prepress organizations and printers. “HumanEyes’ 3D technology is immediately appealing,” says Dan Wish, General Manager, Digital Imaging, xpedx. “High quality with none of the labor or cost burdens people typically associate with lenticular translates to huge interest. In fact, we already have numerous leads from a variety of customers and prospects.” During the Graph Expo and Converting show this October 10-13 in Chicago, xpedx and HumanEyes will operate a live 3D studio in the xpedx booth (#4606).
