IT Veterans Are Added To Avanti Computer Systems

TORONTO – Dr. Richard Wallin, founder of Avanti Computer Systems, is pleased to announce the following new business partners; Patrick Bolan, Peter Funnell and Stephen McWilliam. Mr. Patrick Bolan will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Peter Funnell, C.A. will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Stephen McWilliam, M.B.A. has been named to Avanti’s Board of Directors. Previously Mr. Bolan was a partner at Streamline Information Systems Limited, a mid- market ERP software vendor. Mr. Bolan was in charge of Sales, Marketing and Product development for the organization. Patrick's team was instrumental in increasing company sales and profit six fold over a 10 year period. Dr. Wallin says, “Avanti’s ability to attract a top quality executive such as Mr. Bolan is a testament to our company's strength and future potential. Mr. Bolan has the track record and skills to lead the company’s future growth.” As Avanti’s new Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Funnell brings over 15 years experience in corporate finance and public accounting. Most recently, Peter held the position of VP Finance for CDI Education Corporation’s Post Secondary Division. Mr. Funnell’s previous experience will ensure Avanti’s continued financial well being. Avanti also announced today that it has added considerable bench strength and expertise to its Board of Directors with the appointment of Stephen McWilliam. Mr. McWilliam brings over 16 years of experience in building Phase II organizations, having held executive roles, both in Canada and Europe, in several high growth companies. Dr. Wallin remains as an active partner and assumes the role of Chief Technology Officer where his years of industry experience will allow him to focus on product development and future technology strategies.
