New York Times New Print Site in Dallas

NEW YORK - January 7, 2007 - The New York Times announced today that it has entered into an agreement with DFW Printing Company, the commercial printing entity of The Dallas Morning News, to print The Times's national edition in Dallas, Texas, beginning in early February. A separate agreement was also entered into with The Dallas Morning News, Inc. to distribute The Times throughout the Dallas area.
These agreements will enable The Times to extend weekday and Sunday home delivery to readers in the Dallas area as well as better serve retail newsstands throughout the greater Dallas area.
"Our agreements with The Dallas Morning News will help us reach more readers in the Southwest with The Times's high-quality journalism," said Scott Heekin-Canedy, president and general manager of The New York Times. "Print site expansions like this one, and another to be announced later in the year, highlight The Times's commitment to building our brand nationwide and bringing our journalism to an increasing number of readers across the country."

The New York Times is currently printed at 23 locations in North America: Chicago, Ill.; Gardenia, Calif.; Deerfield Beach, Fla.; Austin, Tex.; Seattle, Wash.; Canton, Ohio; Concord, Calif.; Atlanta, Ga.; Springfield, Va.; Billerica, Mass.; Lakeland, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Denver, Colo.; Princeton, Minn.; Gastonia, N.C.; Dayton, Ohio; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Columbia, Mo.; Toronto, Ontario; Houston, Tex.; and Salt Lake City, Utah. The New York edition is printed in College Point, N.Y. and Edison, N.J. The Dallas print site will bring the number of print sites to 24.
