ColorCentric Corp. Names Steenburgh CMO

Rochester, NY January 7, 2008 -- ColorCentric Corp., a leader in web-to-print, real-time publishing for the photo and traditional publishing industries, announced today that Frank D. Steenburgh has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Steenburgh brings more than 25 years of experience in the digital printing industry to ColorCentric.

Steenburgh retired from Xerox at the end of 2005, where he was Senior Vice President Business Growth. Steenburgh was appointed to that position in July 2003. He was appointed a Corporate Officer of Xerox in May of 1998. As Senior Vice President, Business Growth, he had business responsibility for growing Xerox's $4.5 billion production business, with a strong focus on digital color. Prior to that, Steenburgh was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Xerox's $2 billion production color business.
From November 2001 to June 2003, Steenburgh was responsible for bringing to market the largest research and development investment ($1 billion) in Xerox history, the iGen3 Digital Production Press. Backed by more than 300 patents, the iGen3 creates color documents with the traditional look and feel of offset prints, while offering unprecedented speed, personalization capabilities and cost advantages.
In 2001 Steenburgh launched the Xerox e-Services Business, which leverages the Internet to help customers better manage their content-based processes from creation to fulfillment.
In 1999 and 2000, Steenburgh headed the $3.0 billion Xerox Worldwide Graphic Arts Industry Business, the largest of four strategically focused industry businesses at Xerox. More than 1,500 Xerox individuals worldwide are dedicated to serving the needs of graphic arts professionals, ranking it as one of the industry's most dominant solutions providers.
Internationally recognized as a digital printing and publishing pioneer, "DocuFrank" (as his colleagues at Xerox referred to him) has spent most of his career in the in-plant and graphic arts industries. He led the 1990 introduction of the Xerox DocuTech Publishing Series, a powerful family of production-class digital printers that ignited the print-on-demand revolution and built a more than $2 billion annual business for Xerox. DocuTech, the most successful product line in the company's history, has generated over $20 billion in revenue since its introduction.
Underscoring his leadership in the graphic arts industry, in 2000, Steenburgh was the recipient of two prestigious industry honors. The Association of Graphic Communications' "Power of Communications" award recognizes the positive influence, creative excellence and outstanding achievements within the world of broadcast, print and electronic communications. The "Print-On-Demand Pioneer" award from Cygnus Business Media, the publisher of ten magazines covering the graphic arts industry, honors the most influential early participants in the digital print-on-demand revolution.
In addition, in 2004 Steenburgh was the recipient of the Rochester Institute of Technology "CARY" Award, one of the most prestigious awards given out in the graphic arts industry. This award is presented annually to an individual who has distinguished himself in the development and application of digital technology in graphic communications.
Steenburgh is the author of articles for such graphic arts publications as Document Processing Technology and DocuWorld magazine. He currently writes a monthly article for Digital Printing a leading graphic communications publication in China. He also has been the subject of numerous feature stories in such leading publications as Printing Impressions, In-Plant Graphics, Micro Publishing News and Digital Publishing Solutions. The year after he launched DocuTech, Frank was recognized by Business Marketing magazine as one of the top marketers in the United States.
Steenburgh is a member of the board of directors of the NTID Foundation (National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a college of the Rochester Institute of Technology), a Trustee of Keuka College and an Honorary Professor at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, the RIT of China. He is deeply involved in the printing industry in Asia-Pacific. Steenburgh has been instrumental in the introduction of digital printing technology educational programs at the Graphic Arts Technical foundation (GATF), California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) and RIT.
Steenburgh joined Xerox in 1967 and held a variety of senior management positions including: Vice President, Worldwide Customer Operations; Senior Vice President, Operations, Document Productions Systems Division; Vice President and General Manager, Systems Reprographics Marketing, United States Customer Operations; Vice President, Region General Manager, Field Operations; Vice President, Marketing; Manager, Strategic Business Office; Manager, Worldwide Product Planning; Region Sales Manger; and Branch Manager.
Steenburgh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute, Flint, Michigan, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
