Enovation Graphic Systems Brings Turnkey Offering to Commercial Printers

Press release from the issuing company

VALHALLA, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2004) – Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. proudly announced today a unique, turnkey computer-to-plate solution bundles for commercial printers. Enovation adds its extensive service and distribution network to Fujifilm’s expertise in plate manufacturing and the reliability of ECRM Imaging Systems to offer a total solution and the best value in the industry. The bundles include ECRM Mako 2 and Mako 4 CTP solutions, with workflow and color proofing upgrade options to expand and enhance the capabilities of the CTP platesetters. “We’re pleased to announce our partnership with industry leaders and to provide commercial printers a fast and simple way to evaluate and select option packages to meet their needs,” says Tim Combs, Enovation’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Enovation provides a unique combination of expertise, product offering and responsiveness that printers can depend on to help grow their businesses while improving profitability and productivity.” As part of its “Turnkey CTP – A Complete Solution Without the Confusion,” Enovation has expanded its partnership with ECRM and combines ECRM’s high-quality platesetters with Fujifilm’s line of visible-light plates. “With the ECRM Mako 2 and Mako 4 computer-to-plate devices and the power of nationwide consumable service and support from Enovation, we are removing the confusion and cost for commercial printers looking to move into ultra-efficient CTP production,” adds Peter Wilkens, ECRM’s vice president of worldwide marketing. “ECRM offers the best value in CTP hardware for small- to medium-sized commercial printers and Fujifilm has one of the largest plate manufacturing facilities in the world in South Carolina,” notes Combs. “Along with the added benefit of being the only hardware and media product solution to both be manufactured in the United States, we are excited to promote this new approach to marketing our products and solutions.” ECRM’s Mako CTP systems follow the Enovation’s passion to make CTP more widely available, by the delivery of quality, reliability and flexibility at an affordable price. Fujifilm recently completed a $100 million expansion of its plate manufacturing facility, located in Greenwood, S.C., where the company continues its tradition of excellence in plate coating. As more and more printers and prepress houses move to an all digital workflow, manufacturers in the graphic arts industry are seeing an ever-increasing demand for CTP devices and consumables. Fujifilm is responding to that demand with a new production line dedicated entirely to CTP platemaking. The new factory will add more than 100,000 sq. ft. of space and will have the capability and flexibility to manufacture both thermal and photopolymer plates as well as a wide variety of conventional PS plates.
