The Polestar Group has today announced that it has sold its packaging businesses to a management team headed up by Peter Watson of Polestar Jowetts. The sale includes carton printing companies Polestar Jowetts and Taylowe and label printers Broadley and Hannibal. The new company, known as Boxstar Limited, comes into immediate effect. Polestar Group Finance Director Peter Johnston says: "We have very much valued the contribution our packaging companies have made over the years, but the offer by Peter and his team provided an opportunity for both the Group and Boxstar to develop independently. We would like to thank all those that have worked for Polestar and we wish the new business every success." Peter Watson adds: "This is an exciting opportunity for us all at Boxstar. I am looking forward to leading the company and, with the support of the workforce, am confident that we will grow successfully into the future. We would like to thank all our colleagues at Polestar and appreciate the support the group has given us, particularly in the last few weeks as we have worked towards completion."
