Burlington, MA (August 30, 2004)--- Roll Systems Inc., a 100% owned company of BÖWE SYSTEC International GmbH, announced today that William Carroll has been appointed President of Roll Systems Inc., effective immediately. A nine year employee of Roll, Mr. Carroll most recently held the position of Vice President of Engineering and Operations. Earlier he held the position of Vice President International for Sales and Marketing. Prior to Roll, Mr. Carroll spent 14 years with Digital Equipment Corporation, with six of those years being in international assignments in Hong Kong and Japan. Co-founder and former Roll President, George McKenna, will remain to assist Mr. Carroll and Roll through a transition period ending December 2004. He will then leave the company to pursue other interests. BÖWE SYSTEC International GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of BÖWE SYSTEC AG acting as holding company for some of BÖWE SYSTEC´s international activities especially in the US.
