"We thank Southern Progress for entrusting this important new work to our company." Quad/Graphics' manufacturing platform, which combines of high-tech capabilities with high-touch customer service, was key to winning the Cottage Living contract. The magazine takes advantage of our new 64-page presses, which condense manufacturing time and costs. "Cottage Living is among our first clients to realize the advantages these presses deliver as far as productivity, quality and efficiency," Tom said. Thirteen executives from Southern Progress Corporation were on hand Monday, August 9, in Quad/Graphics' Sussex, Wis., print-production facility to celebrate the culmination of production of the premiere issue. Hundreds of Quad/Graphics employees gathered on the floor of the Finishing department floor to watch copies perfect bind. "Being on-site to watch our premiere issue roll off the press was a thrilling experience I will never forget," said Eleanor Griffin, Cottage Living vice president and editor in chief. "The Cottage Living staff feels very confident printing at Quad. With its up-to-the-minute printing technologies, not to mention the Quad staff's professionalism and enthusiasm for our project, we know our photography and our entire magazine is in great hands."
