Marcel Kiessling (43), former Head of the Germany/Switzerland Market Center and President of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH, will become President of Heidelberg Americas Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia on September 1, 2004. The sales region of Heidelberg Americas comprises Canada, the USA, Mexico and South America. After graduating from the University of Mannheim with a degree in business economics in 1989, Marcel Kiessling began his career at Heidelberg in sales. Following a period supporting various projects and strategic product marketing, and a responsibility as General Manager of business unit Direct Imaging, he took over as Head of the Germany/Switzerland Market Center in 2001. Marcel Kiessling is married and has two children. As part of the restructuring of the company announced in November 2003, the worldwide sales organization's original seven Market Centers were grouped into three key regions - Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), North and South America and Asia/Pacific. North and South America were previously overseen by CEO Bernhard Schreier on a temporary basis. Werner Albrecht President of Heidelberg Deutschland GmbH Werner Albrecht (56) will take over as the new President of Heidelberg Deutschland GmbH and Head of the Germany/Switzerland Market Center as of September 1, 2004. After studying law, Werner Albrecht joined Heidelberg in 1978 to head up the legal department. He was appointed Sales Director in 1988 and became CEO of the Heidelberg Osteuropa holding company in Vienna in 1995. This period in office coincided with the building of the Heidelberg sales and service organizations in Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. As President of Heidelberg Web Systems, Inc., headquartered in Dover, New Hampshire, until its takeover by Goss International, Werner Albrecht had been responsible for all of Heidelberg's web off-set activities since 2001. Werner Albrecht is married and has two children.
