Ann Arbor, Michigan (August 12, 2004) – Flint Ink, the world’s largest privately owned printing ink manufacturer, announces new ARROWBOND ULTRA ink, a high-performance laminating ink system for flexographic and gravure printing. The multifunctional ink system increases print efficiencies and reduces costs for packaging converters and printers producing a wide range of demanding packaging applications. “ARROWBOND ULTRA represents the next-generation of lamination inks,” says Michael Impastato, Vice President, Market Development, Flint Ink North America. “Many lamination inks provide high bond values, but do not offer good printability. Our new ink system is unique in the market by offering high bond values and low retained solvents, while achieving unsurpassed color strengths and superior print results." The growing number of films, increased complexity of packaging applications, and the importance of efficient press room management require fewer ink systems that do more.
