Danka Expands ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certifications

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Aug. 11, 2004-- Danka Business Systems PLC has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certifications at several additional U.S. service centers in recognition of the company's high quality standards. All of the operations are part of the company's highly regarded U.S. Technical Services organization, which provides ongoing support to thousands of Danka customers across the country. The centers join Danka's U.S. Customer Service Center, which provides first-response client support and dispatch, in achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification. "These prestigious achievements reflect our continual efforts to provide customers with the highest levels of service and support," said Danka Chief Executive Officer Todd Mavis. "These centers provide digital support for production print environments and also deliver state-of-the-art training to our national network of customer service engineers. Our success in obtaining the ISO 9001:2000 certifications demonstrates the careful attention that we pay to all aspects of client satisfaction, from rapid and accurate dispatch to remote diagnostic support to expert in-field service." The centers receiving the new ISO 9001:2000 registrations are located in Charlotte, NC; Norcross, GA; Port Washington, NY; Rochester, NY; Romeoville, IL; St. Petersburg, FL; Tempe, AZ; and Torrance, CA. To achieve certification, the centers underwent rigorous on-site inspections to ensure their quality management systems met the stringent requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Danka's recently upgraded Oracle business systems provided the foundation for the comprehensive processes and reports that are required. The ISO audit was conducted by Moody International Certification, one of the world's leading providers of quality assessment and certification services. "The ISO 9001:2000 certifications differentiate Danka services from other industry providers by enabling high-quality problem resolution systems, detailed reporting and analysis, and technicians who are fully qualified to address each customer's specific needs," continued Mavis.
