TORRANCE, Calif., (August 02, 2004)— The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), the non-profit organization dedicated to the document communications industry, today announced the creation of an industry resource designed to provide access to pertinent research, with educational value, from leading sources within the industry. This resource can be found on the EDSF’s web site at: http://www.edsf.org/research_library.cfm. “Much of the document communications industry research can be found in a number of locations on the Internet, ranging from centers of higher education to technology providers,” said Toby Cobrin, Chairperson of EDSF’s library.“It is EDSF’s intent to provide a single source of relevant research findings, regardless of their origin, with the hope that all will benefit.” The Foundation’s site provides access to research findings from EDSF’s own research and white papers, as well as vendors and educators, including AIIM International, Cincom, Delphi Group, EFI, InfoTrends/CAP Ventures, Kodak Versamark, NexPress, Pitney Bowes, and Rochester Institute of Technology plus additional research sources. Research topics include industry definition and strategic analysis; processes; productivity and profitability; cross-media migration and integration, and digital color printing. EDSF provides this research service at no cost to its users. EDSF welcomes additional research papers of educational value. To include your research in the EDSF Research Library, please email your document to info@edsf.org for review. Upon receipt, an evaluation committee will evaluate the paper making certain it meets specific criteria. The criteria to submit papers include the following. The paper is: • Original work • Relevant to the document communications industry • A timely topic • Not product or vendor specific • Well-written with a well-defined focus
