F.E. Treis Celebrates 60th Anniversary at Arandell Corporation

Press release from the issuing company

Menomonee Falls, Wis. - (Jan. 8, 2004) - F.E. Treis, Arandell Corporation chairman, was recently honored for 60 years of leadership at the producer and distributor of high-quality direct-mail catalogs. Treis joined the former R & L Printing Co., a sheet-fed commercial printer, on Jan. 1, 1944, as a sales representative. He acquired the business in 1949, changed its name to the phonetically spelled Arandell and became its chairman. Under Treis' leadership, Arandell grew from a Milwaukee-Chicago area printer to a national firm and acquired E.F. Schmidt, a web offset printer, in 1981. Arandell began to develop its specialty as a catalog producer in 1982 when it began producing advertising materials for retailer Neiman Marcus. Today, Arandell has grown into an internationally known printer with 660 employees and sales of more than $250 million. The family tradition continues under Treis' sons, Donald, Arandell CEO; James, executive vice president sales/marketing; and David, vice president/general manager. "We're extremely proud of all that our father has accomplished," said Donald Treis. "He built this company by always investing in the best people and the most up-to-date equipment. We intend to follow that model into the future." Arandell Corporation is known internationally as the expert in the art and science of catalogs. The privately held printer produces and distributes high-quality direct-mail catalogs and materials for the world's leading retail marketers from state-of-the-art facilities in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
