Colorbus Promotes Jeff Dowd to VP Sales & Marketing, Expands Sales Force

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif.--Jan. 7, 2004-- Colorbus, makers of the Cyclone line of print servers that drive a variety of printers, copiers and large format devices for printing and color proofing, today announced the promotion of Jeffrey Dowd to vice president of Sales and Marketing North America and the addition of Michael Miller and Richard Payne as regional sales managers for the Midwest and Western regions, respectively. The move represents another step in Colorbus's North American expansion plans and comes on shortly after a national distribution deal signed with Twinsburg, Ohio-based xpedx in November. "Jeff's experience and proven track record provides the leadership Colorbus needs to reach new customers," said Hans Kintsch, chief executive officer, Colorbus, a Color Print Solutions Company. "Michael and Richard bring extensive industry knowledge that will serve Colorbus customers and dealers very well. We are pleased to have both of them on board." Dowd, with more than 20 years experience in the digital color and graphics industry, will lead the company's charge into new markets. Before joining Colorbus in 2002, Dowd held senior staff positions with Xerox, and regional and national sales roles at Macromedia, Adobe, and Canon. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Kent State. Richard Payne brings more than 25 years of graphic arts experience to his position at Colorbus. He previously held both regional and director level sales positions at Hewlett-Packard, Polaroid Graphics, Kodak PolyChrome and Anitec, which is a division of International Paper. Payne is a graduate of Brunel College in Bristol, England, where he studied lithographic arts. Before joining Colorbus, Mike Miller served as general manager of worldwide operations for Colorspan, makers of large format digital systems and consumables. He has also held sales positions at Xerox, the worldwide director position for Xerox large format printing solutions and at several service bureaus. Miller holds a bachelor of science degree from University of Michigan.
