Danka Europe and Heidelberg renew and extend European partnership

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Danka Group BV and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) announced today an agreement designed to expand Danka’s significant presence in the European digital print marketplace and to further meet the needs of its production print customers. The new agreement, which follows a similar announcement in the U.S. last year, provides a multi-year extension to the current distribution arrangement. It enables Danka -- a major supplier of Heidelberg’s high-volume black-and-white solutions -- to continue direct sales of the branded Heidelberg Digimaster product family. Danka's European customers will continue to benefit from a complete product line that includes the industry benchmark Digimaster product portfolio, as well as Danka's world-class service and support. Heidelberg’s Digimaster product portfolio includes the Digimaster 9110 system, the high-speed Digimaster 9150i print system, the Digimaster 9110m system for MICR printing, and a full range of finishing products and accessories. "We are delighted to extend our agreement with Danka, which enables a broader base of European customers to benefit from the superior functionality and performance of the Heidelberg Digimaster product family," said James Garde, chief executive officer of Heidelberg’s Digital Print Solution Center. Dr. Peter Williams, Danka European Group president and COO, said: "The renewal and extension of Danka’s agreement with Heidelberg is testimony both to the excellence and popularity of the Heidelberg digital product portfolio, and to Danka’s effectiveness in selling these systems to appropriate customers and then building and maintaining customer satisfaction through unrivaled service and support. Closer cooperation between the two companies can only be to the benefit of our customers."
