ICS Names Doug Landon Director of Technical Operations

New York, NY; January 6, 2004 – Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), a technology leader in providing color management solutions to industries where color is critical, announced today that Doug Landon has joined ICS in the new position of Director of Technical Operations, reporting to Vice President of Operations Dan Caldwell. In his new position, Landon is responsible for pre-sales technical operations supporting customers of the company’s SWOP-certified Remote Director monitor-based proofing system and related technologies. Landon joins ICS after serving in technical and business capacities with Time Inc. since 1985. Most recently, he was Production Director for Real Simple magazine, responsible for Print Operations, Makeup and Positioning, Editorial Production and Ad Services. Throughout the 1990s, Landon served at Time Inc.’s Field Operations in Torrance, CA, where he was Regional Operations Manager responsible for all magazine manufacturing operations in the Western US, and prior to that as Regional Manufacturing Manager he had overall responsibility for product quality and manufacturing technologies. Landon began his 18-year career with Time Inc. at that company’s Central Production operations in New York City, first as an Editorial Quality Analyst responsible for the editorial quality of Sports Illustrated and People magazines. Later, as Advertising Quality Manager, he implemented a company-wide program to enforce adherence to SWOP specifications. Landon holds a B.S. in Printing Management from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the SWOP Technical Review Committee and has served as a Color Expert for the SWOP Proofing Certification Program.
