Base-Line Expands Pre-Ruled Orange Vinyl Masking Sheet Product Line

Press release from the issuing company

Auburn, Washington, January 2004— Base-Line has expanded its line of pre-ruled orange vinyl masking sheets to include material for popular 29- and 30-inch presses. Base-Line pre-ruled orange vinyl masking sheets are of particular interest to sheetfed printers who seek an archival strength stripping base with the same familiar grid found on Base-Line pre-ruled paper masking sheets. Printers who frequently reuse flats, as well as those who repeatedly handle and file flats, benefit greatly from the durability of the product line. Orange vinyl can be cut with ease, and can be used repeatedly in pin register systems with minimal register pin hole deformation. Step and repeat applications become more precise and consistent due to the strength of the vinyl base. Base-Line industry standard ¼-inch grid and unique reference marks enable accurate film positioning and reduce makeovers caused by stripping errors. In discussing the expanded product line, Base-Line vice president of sales Roger Giza commented: “The excellent handling properties, stability, durability, ease of cutting, and tape release characteristics of Base-Line orange vinyl masking sheets make them popular with printers using both small- and larger-format presses. In addition, pre-ruled masking sheets cut stripping time by as much as 75 percent, when compared to manually ruled substrates.”
