RSA releases QDirect 3.6

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY, July 7th, 2008 -   QDirect, RSA's powerful Enterprise Output Management solution, has been enhanced to empower power users.  Operators can now search for text strings within a print job and  add, replace or delete text.  A string within a document could be replaced to change the ticketing functions such as changing a staple command to be compatible with a new printer or actual content could be changed to replace all instances of "2008" with "2009".

QDirect 3.6 enables destinations which can pre-pend common job ticketing such as '10 copies, stapled'.  When jobs are routed to that destination, the ticketing is applied automatically.    All of this can be done by the operator, without reprocessing at the source, using the powerful QDirect Java GUI client, using any Mac, PC, Linux or Unix system.

As more enterprises rely on QDirect, and tens of thousands of jobs, large and small, flow through RSA's  output manager, QDirect now supports files larger than 2GB file sizes and countless Job Sets.

QDirect 3.6 builds on its Universal Banner Page functionality, allowing an operator to generate banner pages per destination.  One of QDirect's strengths is its support for numerous printers from multiple vendors, and the Universal Banner Page allows for a consistent cover sheet to be output for each job.

"The latest capabilities of QDirect are a direct response to our power users," notes Anthony Leccese, RSA's Product Manager for Output Management Solutions.  "Our extensive user base continues to drive product development and we are happy to be able to deliver the items on their wishlist."

QDirect is a key component of RSA's Enterprise Workflow System. It seamlessly integrates with RSA's transform products and WebCRD, RSA's award winning web-to-print solution, to enable a totally integrated print center running datacenter and publishing/CRD jobs simultaneously. QDirect is available from leading equipment vendors.  Learn more at www.rocsoft.com.
