Former Ricoh Exec Joins Xerox's Global Imaging Systems

Press release from the issuing company

TAMPA, Fla. - January 21, 2008 - Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox company, has named Thomas Salierno Jr. as senior vice president of acquisitions. Salierno is the former president and chief operating officer of Ricoh U.S.

Over the course of his 30-year career with Ricoh and Savin Corp., which was formerly a subsidiary of Ricoh, Salierno held a range of senior management positions, including chief financial officer, controller, and group corporate vice president of Ricoh Company Limited. He was named president and COO of Ricoh's U.S. division in 2003 and retired from the company last year.

"I have known Tom for more than 20 years and have always been impressed with his outstanding track record as a leader and his success in driving growth through multiple sales channels," said Michael Shea, Global Imaging president and chief executive officer. "He's well connected in our industry and now plays an integral role on our senior management team to expand Global Imaging's reach, an important factor in our future success."

Prior to Xerox Corporation acquiring Global Imaging in May 2007, Global Imaging was a reseller of Ricoh and Savin products.

"Having worked alongside Michael and Global Imaging all these years, and having competed against Xerox, the prospect of joining the combined Global and Xerox was extremely compelling," said Salierno. "Global's commitment to local service and support for customers combined with Xerox's leading technology and services portfolio creates an unequaled force in the industry."

Salierno will report directly to Shea. He succeeds Todd Johnson who retired from Global Imaging last month.
