FSSI Adopts Exstream Dialogue to Turn Statements Into Revenue-generating Documents

Press release from the issuing company

December 4, 2003 -- Exstream Software, Inc. announced today that Financial Statement Services, Inc. (FSSI), a leading provider of customized solutions for statement processing and distribution to the financial, telecommunications, insurance, utilities and service industries, is using its Dialogue software to expand capabilities in its two production facilities located in Santa Ana and San Diego, California. With Dialogue, FSSI is providing enhanced marketing opportunities for clients interested in leveraging their databases to create personalized statements and invoices that include relevant graphics and targeted messages for cross-selling additional products and services. FSSI has reduced development time by 20 percent, reduced overhead expenses and dramatically improved time to market. This success is the impetus behind the company’s aggressive one-year plan to move the 40 million images and 10 million pieces of mail it generates monthly from a traditional mainframe environment to Dialogue. FSSI selected Dialogue because it was the only software on the market that offered a complete enterprise-wide personalization solution, from its ability to process virtually any input print stream to its advanced postal automation capabilities. Key in the decision was Dialogue’s inherent ease of use and robust campaign management capabilities. Dialogue’s Campaign Management and Advanced Tables modules allow FSSI to provide clients with transaction-driven statements that are personalized with targeted marketing messages, graphs and charts, turning what up to now has been considered a cost into a revenue-generating opportunity. Additionally, Dialogue’s “design once, deliver anywhere” capability fits perfectly with FSSI’s production environment that includes a variety of print formats, such as AFP and PostScript. Based on the targeted output device, Dialogue dynamically builds all the necessary resources for the most efficient output processing possible. This ensures output is consistent across all delivery formats, saving time and labor expense. “Today, being successful is all about saving more money and creating more revenue. Dialogue has helped us differentiate ourselves in a crowded marketplace,” said Dick O’Neil, senior vice president of marketing for FSSI. “Using Dialogue, we can produce cutting-edge full color statements and invoices that connect with customers in a meaningful way and foster response. Its ability to seamlessly interface with our Xerox 6060 color printer expands our business even more as we are able to give our customers print on demand options for other types of marketing materials, such as sophisticated, personalized mutual fund literature. As a service bureau, it is a true advantage to have the number one product on the market in your facility. Having Dialogue definitely attracts customers.” FSSI’s future plans include using Dialogue to expand its web capabilities and move customers from print to web-based applications by creating statements and check images in XML for customer viewing on the Internet. “Companies who truly understand what differentiates them from their competition, and invest in promoting that difference, are bound to be successful,” said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream Software. “It is exciting to see the many ways Dialogue supports FSSI’s mission to lead the marketplace in supplying innovative statements and invoices that focus on customer needs.”
