Dr. James Rogers Appointed Director, New Business Development at Flink Ink

(Ann Arbor, MI – 21 July 2004)  Dr. James Rogers has been appointed to the position of director, new business development for Flint Ink Corporation.  Rogers succeeds Leonard Walle, who retired on June 30, following nearly 33 years of service with Flint Ink. In his new role, Rogers is responsible for overseeing the global cultivation and development of business opportunities involving new markets, new business models and new technologies. He is located at the company’s Ann Arbor, Michigan world headquarters. Rogers joined Flint Ink in 2000, and previously held the position of technical director of analytical chemistry and physical sciences at the company’s global research and manufacturing technology development canter in Ann Arbor. In that capacity, he was responsible for solving fundamental technical challenges, overseeing long-term research, and improving core capabilities. He also played a key role in the launch of Precisia LLC – Flint Ink’s printed electronics business unit – having assembled and managed the technical/product development team before its spin-off from Flint Ink.  Prior to joining Flint Ink, Rogers worked for DSM Desotech and for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Centre College, received an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University, and holds a  Ph.D. from University of South Carolina.
