Heidelberg USA Announces New Product Installation Report

KENNESAW, Ga. –July 28, 2004 – Heidelberg USA announces the following sample of new product installations: Bryan Press Installs New Printmaster, Postpress Equipment Bryan Press, located in City of Industry, Calif., recently installed a 2-color Printmaster QM 46 and a USA B-20 folder. The new equipment is being used to produce stationery, brochures, business cards and envelopes. Bryan Press has been in business for 34 years and has been a loyal Heidelberg customer since 1981. The shop services primarily local clients including various financial companies and the University of Southern California. Colonial Printing Adds Fourth Heidelberg Press Colonial Printing of Richmond, Va., recently installed a 6-color Speedmaster 52. The press is the newest edition to the shop’s fleet of Heidelberg equipment and is being used to produce four, five and six-color general commercial work. Founded in 1962, Colonial Printing, a general commercial printer, offers printing, prepress and bindery services. The shop services regional customers including advertising agencies, non-profit institutions, hospitals, colleges and universities. Rhode Island’s Colonial Printing Co. Installs Postpress Equipment Colonial Printing Company, Inc., of Warwick, R.I., recently installed a 115X Polar cutter and a 6-pocket Stitchmaster ST100 with a cover feeder. The new equipment is being used to finish brochures and catalogs. Colonial Printing Co. was founded in 1975 and services regional customers including American Automobile Association (AAA) and Brown University. The general commercial printer is family-owned and operated and has recently expanded its facilities. Colorado Printing Increases Capacity with New Speedmaster 74 Colorado Printing Company, located in Grand Junction, Colo., recently installed a 10-color Speedmaster 74 in order to increase capacity. Business has increased by 25 percent each year over the past five years. The new press is being used to produce marketing collateral and small publication work at 13,000 impressions per hour. The addition of the new machine is the shop’s third Heidelberg installation in five years. Colorado Printing specializes in 4-color general commercial jobs and services customers in the Rocky Mountain region. Digital Ink Adds Second DI Press Digital Ink, Inc., located in Richmond, Va., recently installed a new Speedmaster SM 74 DI, enabling the company to take on new types of work, such as presentation folders and six-page brochures. The shop, which also uses Heidelberg’s Quickmaster QM 46 DI, acquired the larger press in order to expand capacity and improve productivity. Digital Ink services a variety of clients including some of the region’s largest real estate and packaging companies, national political campaigns, advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies. The shop offers prepress, digital and standard offset printing, binding, mailing solutions, graphic design and web development. Dynamic Printing Source Installs Prepress Equipment, Workflow Technology Dynamic Printing Source, a small commercial print shop located in Plainfield, Ill., recently installed a Quicksetter 400E thermal imaging device and a MetaDimension software system, creating an all-digital prepress workflow facility. The new prepress equipment is being used to produce newsletters, direct marketing pieces, brochures, annual reports and catalogs. As a result of the installation, the shop is now able to produce high-end, 4-color work in less time and on longer runs. Dynamic specializes in 2-and 4-color jobs and services some of the area’s most innovative companies including local design groups, advertising agencies and other printers Flottman Co. Boosts Capacity with 6-color Speedmaster SM 74 Flottman Co., recently installed a 6-color Speedmaster SM 74 20.5x29.5” convertible perfecting press with coating tower in order to increase its commercial capacity from four colors to six, in line with growing customer demand. The mid-size commercial and pharmaceutical printer is located in Crestview Hills, Ky. Founded in 1921, Flottman Co. produces a variety of printed pieces but specializes in miniature folded literature for the pharmaceutical and packaging industries. Heidelberg has been a trusted supplier to Flottman Co. for more than 35 years. Michael Graphics Adds Stahl Folder Michael Graphics, Inc., of New Brunswick, N.J., recently installed a TI-36 Stahl Folder. Family-owned and operated since 1972, the all-Heidelberg shop has been a customer for more than 30 years and services both national and local clients in the healthcare industry. Michael Graphics installed the new equipment in order to expand its capabilities. The company is currently using the new folder to finish instructional inserts. Pensacola Christian College Printshop Upgrades Bindery Pensacola Christian College’s (PCC) printshop recently installed six Stahl B30 buckle plate folders in order to increase productivity and improve the reliability of its bindery department. Pensacola Christian College, located in Pensacola, Fla., is one of America’s largest and most respected Christian day schools and home of A Beka Book Publishing. The print shop is the largest publisher of full-curriculum Christian text books in the country. In addition, PCC’s print shop produces millions of other jobs each year for the college, including promotional and advertising pieces, handouts, tests, quizzes, employee and classroom materials, brochures, student guides, postcards and flyers. Petree Press Installs Speedmaster 52 Petree Press, located in Sterling, Va., recently installed a five-color Speedmaster 52 with perfector and coater. The new press is being used to produce sell sheets, brochures, high-end invitation work and marketing materials. Petree Press caters to a niche market, providing graphic design for museums. The all-Heidelberg shop is family-owned and operated and has been in business for 19 years. Printing Productions Increases Productivity with New Heidelberg Press Printing Productions, Inc., located in Sterling, Va., recently installed a 2-color Printmaster QM 46. The new press is producing business materials, brochures and stationary at approximately 7,000 impressions per hour. The new Printmaster QM 46 is being used in conjunction with the shop’s existing Heidelberg equipment, including two previously purchased Printmaster presses and a Quicksetter 300. Printing Productions is a general commercial shop that services local print brokers and associations as well as national clients. UC Printing Acquires Two New Presses, Stitcher UC Printing of Emeryville, Calif., recently installed a 2-color Quickmaster 46, a 4-color 40” Speedmaster and a Stitchmaster ST 270. The new equipment is being used to produce advertising pieces, posters, books and leaflets. UC Printing is an in-house non-profit printer, owned and operated by the University of California, Berkeley. Located on campus, the shop has been operating for more than 125 years and has just recently relocated for the third time.
