MAN Roland quiets the pressroom with the new Air Station soundproof cabinet

Press release from the issuing company

Westmont, Illinois — Printers seeking to reduce hazardous noise levels in their pressrooms now have a cost-effective solution from MAN Roland. The company’s new Air Station provides a soundproof enclosure for a press’ floor pumps and blowers. Air Station utilizes anechoic foam to insulate the units for maximum noise reduction. It also saves valuable floor space, vertically mounting the pumps and blowers into a compact footprint. For easier scheduled maintenance, up-front pump and blower accessibility is provided. Additional features include thermostatically triggered exhaust fans, connected to a digital display, to ensure optimum operating temperatures. The fans redirect excessive heat away from operators and temperature-sensitive press areas. The display contains an audible over-temperature alarm that can be programmed to alert operators of excessive pump and blower heat levels. The Air Station’s innovative features translate to increased pump motor life and a cooler, quieter and orderly pressroom working environment.
