CHESAPEAKE, VA (July 15, 2004) – Yupo Corporation America, the largest manufacturer of synthetic paper in the Western Hemisphere, announces that it has appointed Mr. Hideaki Hamada to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Hamada will be based at Yupo’s manufacturing headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. "We are delighted to have Mr. Hamada join the Yupo team," says Masahiko Yano, the new president of Yupo Corporation America. “The company has shown tremendous growth since we started operations at our manufacturing facility in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1998. Mr. Hamada will seize the opportunity to support the continuing growth of Yupo.” Prior to joining Yupo Corporation America, Mr. Hamada was a controller with Yupo Europe GmbH in Germany since 2001. From 1992-2001 he held management positions in the planning and accounting department of Oji Yuka Synthetic Paper in Japan. He joined the Oji Paper accounting department in 1987.
