Press release from the issuing company

TORRANCE, Calif.--July 13, 2004-- Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced the launch of E-DocNews, an industry newsletter. The bi-weekly publication will begin distribution via email on August 3, 2004 and will target worldwide document communications professionals in the electronic document systems industry. Through industry news, opinions, and methodology studies, E-DocNews will cover the entire lifecycle of the document from creation to production, distribution, and storage/retrieval topics. E-DocNews will be distributed via email with news and article headlines that link to the E-DocNews website (www.e-docnews.org), where readers can find more in-depth information. Paul LeTourneur, EDP, who has been active in the electronic document industry for over 30 years in varying technical and management rolls, will head E-DocNews. He is currently chief consultant at Capricorn Consultants DDS, serving clients in the direct marketing and service bureau industries. Since the mid 1970s, he has held management positions as vice president of data processing, vice president of technology, Chief Operating Officer, and division manager as well as position in sales and marketing. His early technology background is software and technology integration. "The electronic document systems industry is underrepresented from a news media standpoint," said Paul LeTourneur, EDP and editor of E-DocNews. "As a result, we believe that E-DocNews will quickly become recognized as the preferred news source referenced by electronic document systems professionals, vendors, consultants, industry associations, trade groups, and technology experts worldwide." Newsletter distribution will initially go out to 20,000 and publishers expect subscription rates to grow to 35,000 by year-end. Currently, the editorial staff is seeking news submissions from all vendors and users in the entire document lifecycle process. This includes but is not limited to document development, information technology, production printing (both press and variable), pre and post processing, bindery, lettershop, archival and retrieval, and Internet or web-based delivery methods. All software developers, hardware manufacturers, industry associations (graphic arts, direct marketing, and user groups), consultants, and other publications are invited to submit news to the newsletter's editor in their regularly scheduled news distributions. In addition, industry opinions and methodology studies are also being solicited for stand-alone or multiple issue articles. All article suggestions or outlines can be submitted directly to Paul LeTourneur, EDP and editor of E-DocNews at editor@E-DocNews.org. Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities Sponsor and advertising opportunities are also available for those looking to reach users and suppliers in the electronic document systems industry.
