Escher-Grad Expands Operations with New European Sales Headquarters

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada - June 22nd, 2004, -- Escher-Grad Technologies Inc. today announced the official opening of its new European Sales Headquarters located in Brussels, Belgium. The growing popularity of the Cobalt series of violet CTP systems prompted the Montreal-based manufacturer to open a European Headquarters.  Located just outside of Brussels, the European operations will be headed by Christos Tatsis, who recently joined Escher-Grad as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This new office will be the first line of contact for Escher-Grad's European, Middle Eastern and African markets and reflects the company's strong commitment to serve its rapidly expanding distribution network. "This move is in direct response to the explosive growth we are experiencing in Europe and the Middle East," said Najeeb Khalid, Chairman and CEO of Escher-Grad Technologies. "It allows us to be within a few hours of 40% of our market, giving us a physical presence that better enables us to support our distribution network and pursue new business opportunities." "The decision to expand the sales operations in Europe comes at a very exciting time for Escher-Grad," said Christos Tatsis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  "With a solid product portfolio and expanding distribution network, we expect monumental growth in the coming year." The new Belgian office will provide sales and marketing support, service and technical support and training to Escher-Grad's growing distribution network.  Escher-Grad's Corporate Headquarters, R&D operations and manufacturing facilities will remain in Montreal, Canada and the company will continue to operate its satellite sales offices in Chicago, Tampa, Miami (for Latin America), Amsterdam and Tokyo.
