Oce takes dynamic document issues to the road in UK

Press release from the issuing company

August 8, 2003 -- Oce, the world’s number one supplier of wide format technical document solutions, is touring the UK to talk to corporate and local government decision makers about how they address technical document issues. A series of Océ regional briefings in September and October have been arranged, aimed at an audience of IT, CAD, GIS and engineering managers, in venues as far a field as Edinburgh to Bristol. A full list of the planned briefings is provided below. The briefings will explore the theme “Transforming Document Dynamics”, and each will last for the morning only. They will include a discussion of the problems commonly faced by organisations handling large volumes of technical documents that need to be scanned, printed, distributed and archived. There will then be four demonstrations, each of which will show how Océ’s technology provides solutions to these problems, and in each case actual customer stories will be highlighted to bring these solutions to life. The four categories on which the demonstrations will be based are: Scanning and archiving; Productive colour reproduction; Centralised document printing and distribution; and Decentralised document printing and distribution. Following the briefing, Océ will be providing an informal, sit-down lunch for its guests. “These briefings are a fantastic way for us to meet potential new clients and talk to them about how our technology can radically improve their entire document process,” says Nick Klitsie, Océ UK’s Business Unit Director for Wide Format Printing Systems. “Our message is that the costs associated with document production and distribution are a massive hidden drain on many companies’ productivity. It doesn’t have to be that way, and by holding these regional briefings, we can really illustrate this to the organisations and the people that will benefit most.” The latest Océ technology will be on show at the events, including the TCS400 Technical Colour System, the TDS400 and 600 Technical Document Systems, and related scanning and software technology.
