Domtar Opens New Distribution Centers For Faster North American Delivery

Press release from the issuing company

MONTREAL – August 6, 2003 – Domtar has opened new distribution centers in Chicago and Dallas to better serve North American paper buyers. “Printing and graphic design are driven by fierce competition and intense deadline pressures. Running out of paper is not an option,” said Don Butts, Domtar’s vice president of sales for North America, West. “These new warehouses give merchants, printers and other volume paper-buyers greater inventory control and the security of knowing that the products they need are available right away.” Orders placed by 4 p.m. local time will be delivered the next business day to major cities nearest the new distribution centers. Cities further away, but within the same region, will be serviced within two business days. Paper buyers can call (800) 6-DOMTAR or talk to their Domtar sales representative to find out delivery schedules for their particular location. In addition to Chicago and Dallas, Domtar has distribution facilities in Atlanta; Port Edwards, Wis.; Livonia, Mich.; Parkesburg, Pa.; and Lachine, Quebec.  “Domtar already offers one of the industry’s broadest selections of high-quality papers for business, graphic design, commercial printing and publishing uses,” Butts said. “Our products are now even closer to our customers and end-users, making Domtar an efficient one-stop source for all their paper needs.”
