Giveaways Galore at the 2003 Print Solutions Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, VA – When the Document Management Industries Association (DMIA) hosts the 2003 Print Solutions Conference & Expo in Las Vegas on October 21-24, many exhibiting manufacturers will conduct sales promotions designed to build traffic in their booths. Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, this annual event for the independent segment of the document industry marks the single time each year that the entire industry meets. Distributors in attendance at the Expo will be offered many opportunities to win free merchandise. Most commonly, a manufacturer will offer a high ticket item, perhaps a Palm Pilot or a DVD player. To win, the distributor must go to the manufacturer booth, complete an entry form, and drop it in a container. Later on, a drawing is held and the prize is awarded. One of the manufacturers at the 2003 Expo, Crabar/GBF, is doing something very different, or at least doing it on a very different scale. Crabar/GBF is giving away a new 2003 Ford Thunderbird. Prior to the Expo, Crabar/GBF will run a "dollars off" sales promotion and they will conduct a direct mail campaign promoting the Thunderbird. These activities will produce four distributors who will qualify for a chance to win the Thunderbird when they attend the Expo. During the Expo itself two more distributors will be chosen and given a chance to win. At a designated time on October 24 the Thunderbird will be given away. The six possible winners will be given keys. One by one they will try to unlock the door of the Thunderbird. One key will work. The 2003 Print Solutions Conference & Expo, the 58th consecutive annual get-together of the independent segment of the document industry, is sponsored each year by the Document Management Industries Association. The suppliers, manufacturers and distributors who form the industry are represented equally by the DMIA. The independent segment of the document industry controls over one half the production and distribution of documents and related products and services in North America.
