Franchise Services, Inc. to Offer EFI Velocity Exchange to Worldwide Network

MISSION VIEJO & FOSTER CITY, Calif.--Aug. 4, 2003-- Franchise Services, Inc., owner of the Sir Speedy and PIP Printing franchise brands, today announced an agreement with Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in imaging solutions for network printing, to offer EFI's Velocity Exchange software to its worldwide franchise network. Velocity Exchange automates the print job order management process and enables print centers to leverage the Internet to communicate with their customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With Velocity Exchange, Sir Speedy and PIP Printing centers can gain greater efficiency, enhance customer service, and grow their business. Velocity Exchange offers considerable improvements in customer relationship management and print center productivity," said Karl Post, VP of Strategic Development for Sir Speedy, Inc. "The order submission process is extremely intuitive, and the system's automatic handling of PDF files significantly cuts pre-press time, enabling a more streamlined workflow. Velocity Exchange is an online application for print providers and customers that automates print job order management for a more productive workflow. Through a secure, controlled interface, customers can submit job orders online and track progress with real-time job status updates. Once orders are submitted a range of digital tools enhance the in-shop workflow from order receiving to remote proofing to approvals.
