(ICS), a technology leader in color management solutions,has received a prestigious InterTech Technology Award from the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF). The award is for the company’s Remote Director system, the first SWOP-certified, display-based contract proofing system that applies advanced color management and software technologies to ensure color-accurate proofs. ICS is one of 13 companies honored with the award, from a field of 40 nominations. The annual GATF InterTech Technology Awards honor innovative excellence in the development of technology for the graphic communications industries that is being applied. Inaugurated in 1978, the awards have proved a solid indicator of significant industry trends and a predictor that the recipient technology will have a major impact on industry production and profitability.
