Didde Press Systems Announces New Kanban System

Englewood, Colorado - July 23, 2003 – Didde Press Systems by Alcoa Packaging Machinery, the worldwide leading manufacturer of narrow web offset presses, has implemented a new program that provides to its customers of Didde 860 family of presses, Compupress, ML, and Webcom presses - The Right Part at The Right Price at The Right Time. “We at Didde have implemented a Kanban approach to supply chain management to provide an additional level of support and confidence to our customers of Didde 860 family of presses, Compupress, ML, and Webcom presses,” stated Larry Zepf, General Manager of Alcoa Packaging Machinery. “Customers request spare parts when they need them – not 2 weeks from the date of their request. Didde believes that this approach to supply chain management will enable us to provide - ‘The Right Part at The Right Price at The Right Time.’” “To provide The Right Part at The Right Price, Didde has also partnered with our suppliers and vendors to provide competitively priced spare parts,” stated Dave Groetsch, President of Alcoa Packaging Machinery. “These additional measures confirm Didde’s continued commitment to our customers and our commitment to continuous improvement of our processes,” stated Mr. Groetsch. This program begins July 15th.
