Vertis Delivers Image Management Solutions to Mohawk Home

July 11, 2003 -- BALTIMORE, MD. – Vertis, a leading provider of technology-based marketing and advertising solutions, today announced a three-year contract with Mohawk Home, a division of Mohawk Industries, to provide creative and premedia services, including packaging and collateral design, photography, color engineering, and digital asset and project management solutions. Through this agreement, ZOOM180, a creative service of Vertis, will be responsible for extending the new Mohawk Home brand strategic positioning across its entire labeling and packaging program. Vertis will also provide digital image management services, including art production, remote proofing, on-line approvals, electronic layout and assembly, digital photography and color management. ZOOM180 project managers are on-site at Mohawk’s Sugar Valley, Georgia facility to manage the Mohawk Home product labeling program. “With expanding product lines and the desire for greater collaboration with retailers, Mohawk Home wanted to enhance brand positioning and develop stronger shelf appeal through new creative production,” says Herb Moloney, chief operating officer for Vertis. “By providing them with Vertis’ Total Digital Workflow solutions, we are able to deliver production efficiencies while our on-site managers allow Mohawk to concentrate on its core business.” The new contract includes Vertis’ VisionBankTDW Packaging, a comprehensive content and project management solution empowering collaboration and soft proofing of product labeling design over the Internet. This system secures the distribution of logos, images and key assets to Mohawk Home departments, facilities and vendors. Team collaboration is enhanced with the online management of job approvals, work scheduling, project tracking and exchanging asset files.
