New Leadership At KBAs Parent Company In Germany

Press release from the issuing company

July 7, 2003: Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA), the parent company of KBA North America, Williston, Vt., has announced that Albrecht Bolza-Schunemann has been named president of the company, replacing Reinhart Siewert, who retired in June after eight years as president and nearly 25 years on the firm’s board of directors. Claus Bolza-Schunemann, Albrecht’s younger brother, has been named deputy president of the firm. Along with his duties as president and CFO, Albrecht Bolza-Schunemann will continue to focus on the sheetfed offset division. Claus Bolza-Schunemann will oversee the web and security printing divisions as well as human resource management at the web press facilities. “I shall be taking over a competitive, dynamic enterprise whose products are well placed to ensure our ongoing success in the global marketplace,” says Albrecht Bolza-Schunemann. “The name Koenig & Bauer, and the image of innovation and customer proximity that it inspires throughout the world, represents an obligation that I, as a member of the sixth generation in the founding family, am totally committed,” says Claus Bolza-Schunemann. “The graphic arts industry is experiencing change and innovation on an unprecedented scale and my training as an electronics engineer stands me in good stead.” Albrecht Bolza-Schunemann is also president of Drupa; the world’s largest international Graphic Arts trade show. KBA North America President and CEO Ralf Sammeck says, “Albrecht has an affinity and deep understanding of the North American market. Our long-standing relationship will make certain that all necessary resources for our market will be met to ensure our continued strength in quality products and services will exceed our customer needs”.
