GAIN Launches New Job Bank Powered By PrintWorkers.Com

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, Va., July 3, 2003 —The Graphic Arts Information Network (GAIN) at www.gain.net announces the launch of the GAIN Job Bank developed in partnership with PrintWorkers.com. The new Job Bank brings the power of PrintWorkers extensive network to GAIN. Registered members of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and Printing Industries of America (PIA) save 50% off the list price of job postings. The GAIN Job Bank is a targeted, industry-specific resource for bringing employers together with qualified job seekers. Unlike other online job services or newspapers, the GAIN Job Bank is specifically for the printing and graphic arts industry. Through the GAIN Job Bank, employers can reach qualified job candidates for a cost-effective posting fee. Effective immediately, registered GATF/PIA members pay just $75 for a 45-day job posting. Nonmembers pay the list price of $150 for job postings. Jobs are posted within 24 hours of submission. Employers can edit, extend, or suspend job postings at any time. Searching the more than 100 available job postings on the GAIN Job Bank service is completely free. Each month, more than 35,000 unique visitors log onto GAIN. This is in addition to the job seekers visiting the PrintWorkers.com site directly. On GAIN, the employment and jobs section of site has consistently ranked among the most visited areas. Posting an available job or resume on the GAIN Job Bank requires separate registration from the GAIN website. Fifty-two million Americans have looked online for information about jobs, and more than 4 million do so on a typical day according to a Pew Internet Project survey of 2,259 Internet users that was conducted from March 1 through May 19, 2002. Overall, these figures represent a more than 60% jump in the number of online job hunters from March 2000 when Pew first asked about the subject for job information. The GAIN Job Bank is maintained as a service for member companies seeking employees. Students are welcomed to search the jobs. Current employees of member companies are not to use this service. More than 15,000 job seekers have registered on the combined sites.
