June 24, 2003 -- Baltimore, MD - Vertis, a leading provider of technology-based marketing and advertising solutions, announced today the appointment of David Pfeifer as regional managing director for the northeast region of its Advertising Production Services business unit. In his new role, Pfeifer, 43, will lead Vertis Advertising Production Services facilities in New York City, North Haven, Conn., Harrison, NJ, and the creative boutique studio, IC2, in New York City. He will maintain offices in both North Haven and New York City. Most recently, Pfeifer was an independent consultant for private equity investors. Pfeifer also taught a course, “Managing Business Turnarounds,” at the Columbia Graduate School of Business in New York. From 1992 to 1998, he served as president of Gamma One, a full-service premedia company in North Haven, which was later acquired by Vertis. Pfeifer has bachelor of science and master of science degrees from the University of Illinois, along with a master of business administration from Columbia University.
