KPG Names Rob Pipe To Lead Worldwide Color Proofing Business

June 25, 2003 -- Norwalk, Connecticut, USA – Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) today announced the appointment of Rob Pipe as Director, Worldwide Color Proofing Business. Pipe previously served as Worldwide Product Manager, Color Proofing. In his new role, Pipe will oversee the industry’s most accurate and consistent line of color proofing solutions. KPG’s portfolio of proofing systems is the broadest available today and includes Matchprint analog, Matchprint inkjet, Kodak Approval and Matchprint digital halftone systems, and the new Matchprint Virtual Proofing system. “With the broad spectrum of proofing technologies available to printing and graphic arts professionals, customers need a partner that understands the various options and can make recommendations that best fit the customer’s specific needs,” said Jeff Jacobson, CEO, KPG. “Rob Pipe’s background and knowledge of proofing and color technology make him the right person to ensure that our customers experience the full benefits of KPG’s color technologies.” Pipe will report to Vic Stalam, Vice President and Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer. “Our customers can have very different proofing needs based on the requirements of the print buyer, the stage of the job or even the nature of their business,” said Stalam. “KPG is committed to delivering the appropriate proof and Rob brings a unique understanding of the broad range of proofing technologies available in the marketplace today.” Pipe brings over a decade of graphic arts experience to his new role, earned in positions of increasing responsibility with 3M, Imation and KPG. In addition, Pipe gained expertise in graphic arts proofing, plates and film while working in France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
