June 18, 2003 -- DOVER, NH - Heidelberg has strengthened its customer service capabilities in North America with personnel changes within its newspaper sales team. Jonathan Parker has assumed responsibility for press and postpress sales in the Northeast region. He replaces Gerry Russell, who has moved to a new position with Heidelberg's expanding Project Management team based in Dover/Durham, New Hampshire. "With our business growing in North America, we have put these two experienced industry veterans in the best possible positions to assist our customers," explains Heidelberg vice president for newspaper sales, Doug Gibson. Jonathan Parker has held sales management positions with several North American newspaper equipment suppliers since 1984. He joined the Heidelberg newspaper group in August of 2000. Gerry Russell will bring 25 years of newspaper experience to the Project Management team, where he will work directly with newspapers that are installing Heidelberg systems.
