Creo Takes Top Award at Annual Technology Gala in British Columbia

Press release from the issuing company

June 18, 2003 -- (WhatTheyThink.com) -- Creo was among this year's recipients of the BC Technology Industries Association (BC TIA) awards. The recipients were announced last week at BC TIA's 10th Annual Awards Gala held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver, BC. Creo was selected as the Company of the Year - recognized for being the first high tech company in British Columbia to achieve one billion dollars of revenue in Canadian funds and for its internationally respected prepress technology for the printing industry. "Once again, the technology industry has met to celebrate the achievements and successes of the industry's best and brightest companies and individuals. This year we received over 65 excellent nominations and I know the judges had a difficult time narrowing the field to just 21 finalists," said George Hunter, Executive Director, BC TIA in statement. "The technology industry continues to do what it does best, transform the ingenuity and creativity of British Columbians into exciting business opportunities and build a growing global reputation for the province as a preferred destination for technology enterprise." Winning the BC Technology Industries Association award is a significant achievement for the Canadian firm. In October 2003, Creo will be 20 years old making it one of Canada’s oldest and largest high tech firms. Due to our publishing deadline we were unable to reach Creo for comment, but expect a formal announcement soon.
