GMG Weihing focuses on Asia

Press release from the issuing company

June 11, 2003 -- Tuebingen - GMG, a leading developer of professional color management solutions, announces today that it will open an office in the Peoples’ Republic of China within the next few months. The Asian activities will be led by Henry Ng, who joined GMG as Director Business Development Asia on June 1. Mr. Ng, who will work in Hong Kong, is an undisputed expert in the area of color management and has profound knowledge of the graphic arts market in Asia. In recent years, Henry worked for the German company, Best GmbH, based in Krefeld, where he held a similar position developing distribution and support structures. Previously, Henry worked for more than 10 years as a consultant in Hong Kong, helping graphic arts companies make the transition from analog to digital workflows. Jawdatt Mawassii, who on March 1 joined GMG as Director of Business Development from Best GmbH, comments: "The scaleable GMG ColorProof software with its supreme color accuracy offers ideal pre-requisites to succeed, even in such complex and demanding markets like Asia. I am glad that we were able to secure such an industry professional like Henry. Without him, success in Asia would be much more difficult." Heiner Mueller, Director Sales & Marketing adds: "Despite the current situation with SARS, we consider China one of the most interesting growth markets worldwide. This certainly explains our above-average financial investment. Past experience of other companies, however, teaches that significant success is only possible with an on site presence." In addition to Asia, GMG will continuously expand its distribution activities in other world markets in the forthcoming months.
